The Buffalo Bills‘ new backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has bid farewell to his impressive Pennsylvania home, five months after departing the Pittsburgh Steelers to rejoin the New York-based team.

Trubisky, 30, announced in March that he was returning to the Bills following a two-season run with the Steelers. That same month, he doubled down on the move by putting his Sewickley, PA, mansion on the market for $1.9 million.

Sadly, he was unable to complete a real estate touchdown by landing the full asking price and has instead settled for a 13% decrease, ultimately selling the four-bedroom home for $1.66 million.

The lower sale price hopefully won’t be too upsetting for Trubisky, given that his two-year contract with the Bills is worth more than three times that amount.

According to Over the Cap, the football pro is earning $5.25 million over two years, including a $1.5 million signing bonus.

That sum should be more than enough to secure him a new home in Buffalo, NY, where the median house price is $225,000.

Still, Trubisky might find it a hard task to find a new home that is as lavish or spacious as his former Pennsylvania property.

Luxurious and serene, the 5,230-square-foot property boasts plenty of natural light in the main rooms and a gorgeous pearly gray and white color palette. The lofty foyer echoes a boutique hotel’s entrance, with multiple archways leading away from the front and a sparkling chandelier overhead.

A fireplace anchors the main living space, which flows nicely to the formal dining room. High-end appliances come with the kitchen, along with lots of counters for meal prep and seating for four at the island.

The primary bedroom is enormous, gleaming with shiny flooring. Useful highlights include built-in window seats as well as drawers for clothes and linens. A marble bathroom is next door and features dual vanities and a rectangular soaking tub.

Generous counter space fills the kitchen.

A big family/TV room is located on the lower level, along with a small gym area and a full bath. There’s even a catering kitchen here for large affairs. Outside, a lush lawn awaits where the new owners could install a pool. A three-car garage completes the package.

Trubisky starred in college at North Carolina and was the second overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears. Following four up-and-down seasons in the Windy City, he signed a one-year deal with Buffalo to serve as backup QB to Josh Allen.

However, after just one season, he moved to the Steelers, where he alternated between starter and backup.

Now, after a couple of years in Pittsburgh, he’s headed back to Buffalo to a position that’ll feel familiar—as backup QB for Allen once more.
