Three-time World Series champion Buster Posey is poised to sell his Johns Creek, GA, home for $3.85 million.

Situated about 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, the 8,450-square-foot residence sits on more than six acres. The six-bedroom, seven-bath home offers every amenity and luxe detail a potential buyer might be seeking. And the place clearly enticed one lucky buyer: The listing is in contingent sale status after less than a week on the market.

Following his sudden retirement from the San Francisco Giants after the 2021 season, Posey unloaded his luxury properties in California.

The catcher listed his six-bedroom mansion in Lafayette, CA, for $7.5 million in March 2022 and sold it quickly in an off-market deal for $9.28 million. He then listed his duck hunter’s paradise in Northern California for $3.9 million in April 2022. The 106-acre ranch, with a five-bedroom home and private lake, sold for the asking price three months later.

But in September 2022, Posey reestablished a major tie to the Bay Area when he bought into the Giants ownership group—the team with which he spent his entire 12-year, big league career.

So perhaps he wants to better accommodate his four kids with a larger house in his home state of Georgia? Or maybe he’s ready to take a more hands-on approach at work back in the Bay? Either way, feast your eyes on what the seven-time All-Star is leaving behind.

The home’s open layout features a living space with a stone fireplace and built-ins. The kitchen is outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, marble counters, a breakfast alcove, and a walk-in pantry. A first-floor primary bedroom has dual closets and vanities, a washer/dryer, large soaking tub, and double-sized shower.

More bedrooms await upstairs, each with its own bath. There’s also a guest wing with another kitchen, living room, bedroom, exercise space, two bathrooms, and a sweet bunk room for little ones.

Need luxury auto storage? There are multiple options here—a two-car storage space, garage showroom, and another three-car garage that could be converted into a barn, if horses are more your speed.

Outside, the home brims with gorgeous details—a heated pool with a waterfall, a hot tub, covered kitchen with a fireplace, putting green, and a retractable screen porch for breezy patio entertaining.

Posey, 36, was a fixture behind the plate during the Giants miraculous run of three World Series wins in five seasons. He was named the National League’s Most Valuable Player in 2012, after returning from a devastating leg injury. Although his career might have been too short to merit Hall of Fame consideration, he’s a Giants legend who’s set to play a big role in the team’s direction for decades to come.
