The Manhattan apartment where Barbara Walters lived until her death late last year has hit the market for $19.75 million.

The swanky space on the Upper East Side is said to look the same as it did when the legendary broadcast journalist lived there for 30 years.

The posh, five-bedroom, five-bath pad is in a building that dates back to 1925. Most notably, though, the apartment had a “revered owner who loved the apartment and frequently made history there,” the listing notes.

Many of the large rooms have huge windows with verdant, Central Park views.

Walters was a trailblazing journalist who appeared on programs including “Today,” “20/20,” and “The View,” which she created, produced, and co-hosted.

Throughout a career that spanned more than 60 years, she interviewed every sitting president and first lady, as well as numerous celebrities, world leaders, and ordinary citizens.

Her distinctive voice and interviewing style garnered plentiful acclaim—as well as satire on shows such as “Saturday Night Live.”

Walters officially retired in 2015 and died on Dec. 30, 2022 at the age of 93.

The listing notes “a special feeling in this wonderful, full-floor apartment” and “the knowledge that so many wonderful dinner parties and meetings have happened in this chic residence make this a most unique residence.”

The lovely living room has a 10-foot ceiling, wood-burning fireplace, and several seating areas. It connects to a dining room and library.

Wood paneling and two windows with Central Park views make the primary bedroom feel “like an escape to a beautiful hotel in the French countryside,” the listing states.

A reading nook, large closet, and red-lacquered dressing room are close to the bedroom.

The eat-in kitchen has a butler’s pantry, and a laundry room is situated nearby.

Architect Nathan Korn designed the limestone building in an Italian Renaissance palazzo style. The 14-story high-rise features one roomy apartment per floor.

Full-time door attendants, a gym, and a monthly maintenance fee of $19,423 are all part of life in the white-glove building.

Walters’ estate is selling the apartment. It is unclear what is happening with the furniture and other items that remain in it.

Alexa Lambert of Compass is the listing agent.
