Socialite Candice Miller is reportedly hunkering down in a stunning $10 million Miami condo owned by designer Diane von Furstenberg‘s son, after leaving New York with her two children in the wake of husband Brandon Miller‘s suicide.

According to The RealDeal, Candice, 42, is understood to have holed up in a lavish apartment that was purchased by socialite and businessman Alexander von Furstenberg in 2023, property records indicate.

The property, which boasts four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, according to its Realtor.com® listing, is located in a very upscale area of Miami Beach, just a stone’s throw from the beach.

It is likely that the property was offered to Candice by Alex’s wife, Alison von Furstenberg, with whom she has enjoyed a close friendship for many years.

Candice is understood to have listed the home as her residence in legal documents that were filed in New York in mid-August as part of the former influencer’s ongoing attempt to get her late husband’s spiraling debts in check.

The mother of two’s move to Florida comes just weeks after she put her family’s luxurious Hamptons mansion on the market for $15.5 million, amid multiple reports that the property had been bogged down in numerous loans and mortgages by Brandon before his death.

Brandon, who died by suicide in July at the age of 43, bought the property in 2011 for $3.2 million and developed it under the entity Cobb Isle Cottage LLC before transferring it to his own name in 2013, according to The Real Deal.

The Water Mill, NY, home is where he was found unresponsive inside his Porsche Carrera on June 30, while his wife and children were on vacation on Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

He died in a Southampton hospital on July 3, after leaving a suicide note indicating that he had intended to take his own life, according to a law enforcement source cited by the New York Times.

Soon after his death, reports surfaced about the staggering financial struggles that Brandon had been facing behind the scenes—all while maintaining an image of privilege and wealth.

Candice was well known for her now-defunct “Mama + Tata” lifestyle blog, where she provided fashion and decorating advice for wealthy women, while also showcasing her own lavish lifestyle of exotic vacations, grand dinner parties, and beauty treatments.

But in reality, the couple were facing mounting personal debts that are now believed to total around $34 million.

Documents filed by Candice as part of a bond petition reveal that Brandon had four outstanding loans on the Water Mill, home, including a $2 million mortgage from Titan Capital.

Brandon had also taken out a second $800,000 loan from that same company, which recently launched a lawsuit against the late real estate mogul’s wife in an attempt to recoup the funds, as well as loans with UBS and Stevens Financial Group.

He is also reported to have taken out an $11.3 million loan from BMO Bank, as well as a $6.1 million loan from financier Donald Jaffe, in addition to owing $300,000 to American Express and $266,000 to a Brooklyn-based company called Funding Club.

According to multiple reports, Brandon had assured his wife that their finances were under control before she jetted off to Italy with their children for a vacation—during which time he made a suicide attempt that ultimately resulted in his death.

Just over a month after his death, Page Six reported that Candice was planning to leave New York once and for all in favor of starting a new life in the Sunshine State, with a source telling the publication: “She’s over New York. She’s moving to Miami before school starts and has enrolled her kids in a Miami school.”
