Chart-topping songwriter (and Selena Gomez squeeze) Benny Blanco is making some money (-losing) moves in a bid to offload his three-bedroom Manhattan loft—reducing the price of the stunning home by nearly a quarter of a million dollars.

Blanco, whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, has owned the picturesque property in the Chelsea neighborhood for some time; records indicate he purchased the 2,154-square-foot pad in 2011 for $3,445,000.

He originally listed the home for sale back in May with an asking price of $3,995,000; however, after three months without securing a buyer, Blanco is now taking steps to make the property more appealing—specifically, by slicing the price to $3,750,000.

The discount would significantly cut any potential profit that Blanco hopes to make on the home, particularly given that he spent a good amount of money investing in a complete gut renovation of the property after he bought it.

As part of the overhaul, Blanco added stunning contemporary finishes and created a more versatile layout in the home.

It’s now highlighted by a dramatic foyer and gallerylike hallway that leads to a sunny, open living and dining area with airy, 11-foot ceilings and 7-foot windows.

In the great room area, there’s an all-white open kitchen, highlighted by a dining peninsula and top-of-the-line, stainless steel appliances.

All bedrooms have been customized to Blanco’s taste. The primary is entered via 9-foot white oak doors and is enhanced by a walk-in closet, a windowed desk area, and a distinctive black-and-walnut bathroom.

A second bedroom features an en suite marble bathroom and custom built-ins, while the third bedroom is being used as an office, with built-in, white-oak bookcases and a Murphy bed for guests.

The Chelsea Mercantile is a historic building on Seventh Avenue that was built in 1908 between West 25th and West 24th St. It originally housed a clothing mail-order house called The National Cloak and Suit Company, where garments were produced, packed, and shipped.

The primary bedroom has built-in shelving and a platform bed.

Today, it’s an upscale condo building with amenities, including a 24-hour doorman, concierge, garage, gym, a 10,000-square-foot landscaped roof deck, a children’s playroom, valet service, and a conference room.

As the name indicates, it’s situated in the Chelsea neighborhood, famous for its art galleries, trendy restaurants, and most notably, the landmark High Line park.

Blanco, 36, rose to prominence when he was mentored by songwriter and producer Dr. Luke. Blanco has worked with, written for, and/or co-produced hits artists including Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, and the aforementioned Selena Gomez.

He’s responsible for 29 chart-topping songs, and his numerous awards include the five BMI Songwriter of the Year awards and the 2017 iHeartRadio Producer of the Year Award.
